Background of the Organization :

HELP Cox’s Bazar is a pioneer NGO in this locality particularly only one Ukhiya based NGO registered with the department of social services under the Ministry of Social welfare in 2001 as well as affiliated in the NGO affairs Bureau under the Prime Minister Office in 2006.

The EC appoints the Executive Director (ED) of the organization. He is responsible for overall management and keeping contact with the donor agencies.  Besides, there is a seven-member advisory committee to advise the EC and ED in policy matters.

Abul Kashem, Executive Director is the head of the organization.

He got masters degree in Political Science from Chittagong University, Bangladesh.

He worked with Government Health Department as Health Worker from 1987 to 2001 (14 years).

He initiated to start this organization from 2001.

Initially Help Cox’s Bazar was involved to implement non formal primary education programme under his leadership.

Mr. Abul Kashem was also involved to run a kinder garden school in court bazaar, Ukhiya through this organization.
