Background of the Organization :
HELP Cox’s Bazar is a pioneer NGO in this locality particularly only one Ukhiya based NGO registered with the department of social services under the Ministry of Social welfare in 2001 as well as affiliated in the NGO affairs Bureau under the Prime Minister Office in 2006.
From the very beginning to right now it crucially striving to uplift the rights for vulnerable & marginalized groups specially women & children through undertaking & implementing different activities & programs. In line with this, it has 18 years enriched & sound experiences to do work for the enhancement towards the rights of deprived people providing supports like education, WASH, shelter, Combat Human trafficking, Countering violent Extremism,prevention of domestic violence, Gender based violence, HIV/STI, reproductive Health, ensuring legal aid support for the trafficked victim, Victim repatriation & rehabilitation, livelihood option creating & others lots of works.
HCB is also actively involved in providing emergency supports to the Rohinga crisis. It has strong programme to support these affected people on WASH, Health, GBV and Counter Trafficking in different camps. As a local context based organization it has sound knowledge, experience and efficiency to implement activities with the effective participation of the beneficiaries, stakeholders & other concerned with a view to bring the desired results & sustainability of the project interventions.
